Recount about what we did today!

 Today was Friday(aka Enviro-day)

We went up to the duck pond because we had to repair the hinaki trap,Fix the fences surrounding the ducks/duck pond,check and reset the rat traps,count how much ducks their where, and best of all trying the egg incubator which was something different.

The favorite part for me was actually making the pegs for placing the shade cloth to the floor,but the hardest thing for me was to actually break the metal wire into little parts which took for ever to do.

I didn't really get to reset the and check the traps because I was to busy doing my own things,But I loved watching them trying to reset the traps and pulling the trap back.

Recount of what I loved.

Today was Friday and we did so many things that include the environment such as: Repairing the hinaki which I didn't do,Fixing the fences which I love to do,checking and resetting the traps which I loved watching,counting how many ducks where their and watching Rob (aka a Enviro teacher) trying to figure out how to work out how to use the incubator which was challenging.

And that's all what we did for enviro day.

Sort of comments.

                        This is my learning about sorting out comments that are good and bad.

                                        I learnt what where good or bad comments .

                   Then I had to figure out which comments where good and which where bad.

                     For example..My phone number is .......... what would that be under?

The Fish swimming around.

Persuasive writing

 Could you imagine seeing over 3.million pieces of rubbish in our oceans? Would’nt that feel like swimming in the dump?

Our ocean is being ruined and we need to do something about it.

Not only is the pollution affecting our oceans, overfishing is also causing our oceans to empty out, along with the negative effects of global warming. 

1.  Global warming.

First of all greenhouse gases trap more energy from the sun,the oceans are absorbing more heat sooo” that means the sea surface temperatures are rising and the sea levels change as the Ocean can easily kill Sealife.

2.  Polluting

Ok so you know untreated sewage is finding its way to our ocean?Each year 1.2 trillion gallons of untreated sewage is dumped into the water that maybe could have tiny parts of plastic that could most probably kill our sea life.

3.  Fishing Proplems

Last but not least, people say catching fish is’nt bad for the ocean but I know that people are way overfishing.It is estimated that over a trillion fish are caught each year from the moana.

          Conclusion

Do you think if we stop all of these problems in the ocean we would have a better ocean for us to do all sorts of things?

Because we are using our oceans for many things.

Production

 Reflection about the production.

This year we did a production about Tiddler the storytelling fish.

I like the production because I was the octopus and I was one of the main characters.

I felt excited because I didn’t feel scared at all and because I had already done something like that two years ago but this production was way better.

I really love going up on stage and preforming

I really wanted to achieve my goal that I did at the start of which was to be Tu maia and I feel like I made it.

My favorite part of the production was when I put my costume on for the first time, I feel like next they should make a production a bit longer.

What makes a good Blog

I feel like a good blog needs.....

• You need a good audience/reader

• Good Title for the reader to hook them in and get the reader's attention.

• Put the main part in the first paragraph to interest people.

• You use I for first person, we for second person and so on.

• Interesting language and good information about your topic.

• The style of writing needs to be friendly and kind.

• Put the details in the following paragraph so the reader can understand what you're saying.

• Images that suit what you're writing and connect up to your blog that the reader would like.

• Describing things that you have done in the past and reflecting on your other blogs.

• Hopefully you get good feedback at the end.

My reflection on my speech.

The topic of my speech.

The topic of my speech was should we use digital devices instead of pen and paper.

How Persontasion went.

I really liked my speech because I didn’t want to waste my time writing a speech and don’t saying it right.

I felt butterflies in my stomach at the start of my speech.

Planning.

My planning went really well and I like what I write about.

Because It was kinda difficult to research about my topic though.

Editing.

Editing at the end was really hard cause I didn’t know what I was looking for cause it looked all good until the printing time there was a big mistake.

When went well: The start of the year was boring because we had to go back to school so that means new kids. while it was school Easter went past finally we made the Out-door learning space that we have been planning for almost Four years.👀

Challenges: My math is a big challenge for me.

Reading is a subject that I have to complete by the end of the year

Anzac Biscuits

  

Ingredients

 

1 cup rolled oats

1 cup thread coconut

1 cup flour

1 cup sugar

125 g butter

2 Tbsp golden syrup

1 tsp baking soda

2 Tbsp boiling water

• Preheat the oven to 180°C. Lightly grease a baking tray or line with baking paper.

• Combine the oats, coconut, flour, and sugar together in a large bowl.

• Melt the butter and golden syrup together. Dissolve the baking soda in the boiling water and add to the butter mixture. Pour the butter mixture into the dry ingredients and mix together.

• Roll teaspoons into balls and place on the tray, allowing room for them to spread.

• Bake for 12-15 minutes, cooking one tray at a time.

The Alert

 At 10 am we got a alert saying to go somewhere high and somewhere safe due to a tsunami.20 minutes later the sun started to beam so bad that we had to move places. 

30 minutes later the Teachers wanted some kids to get all of the 170 bags so Mr Pickard brang his car down and filled his car with bags,then we had to get all of the drink bottles that some of the kids left.

When we got backup the step hill we got to eat cold fruit.

Another 20 minutes went past and I got told to go home but we didn't go home we went to my Grandads house cause we live right next to the water and we wouldn't be safe.

1 hour went past and  it was 1:30 and a Alert went off and said you may go home the coast is clear 

the Tsunami happened in Whangarei.

I am Poem

 I am a Dog lover and Animal lover,cause animals are the best things on the planet because they're adorable in every way.

I am a wonderful Daughter,to my Mum & Dad well I think I am because I'm the only one who listens but I'm not allowed to do fun stuff like my sister and brother get.

I am the middle child in my family, I like being the middle child because when they go for sleepovers bi get to stay home and play on their stuff that they tell me not to touch or play with.

I haved lived in Nz for my whole entire life. I was born in Whangarei and I live in Coopers beach now.

I'm an alright backer. I can bake some good stuff but not hard things cause one I don’t follow the instruction Two I can't listen to baking rules.

I love to go fishing on boats and the mangonui wharf,But we normally go fishing on boats if we go fishing on boats we launch from taipa and we go out to I don't know, but somewhere what I like to do when we go fighting is throwing the rods and bait out.

I love to Garden sometime , Things that we plant are Beetroots Tomatoes and way more finish stuff well i say alright.

I'm a student at school. I listen well enough to teachers especially to our teacher.

I am a superstar swimmer  in salt water because when you swim in public pools it’s cramped and not too much space to flip around and there are no big waves that ball you over like the beaches.

I am a year 7 at school and I am leaving primary school next year and going to high school I'm not excited to leave primary cause I have been at this school my whole life form year 1 to year 8 and I haved done so much dum and smart stuff here and because I was a little cheeky kid when I was little but now I’m still a bit cheeky but im controlling myself now.
